Frequently asked questions
Which files can I open?
Equirectangular panoramas in JPG, PNG or WebP — the format produced by almost every 360° camera and stitching app. They are exactly twice as wide as they are tall.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The viewer runs entirely in your browser using WebGL. Your file is read locally and never sent to a server.
Why does my image look stretched or warped?
If the picture isn't 2:1 it is probably a regular wide panorama rather than a full 360° sphere. Those can't be wrapped all the way around without distortion.
How large can the image be?
Most computers display up to 16K wide and most phones up to 4K. Larger images are scaled down automatically to fit your device.
